Who are we?
Where to begin.
Even when I was young (second grade), I had already the desire to start a shop.
I did hang cookies in the window to sell.
I think it had something to do with the fact that my Nanay had a sari-sari shop.
I grew up and opened a sari-sari shop on my own, where I also served meals.
That was also the time I met my current Dutch husband.
After getting married, I set foot on European soil six months later.
Like many Filipinos, I missed all the typical Filipino products, like hair products, chips, candy,
soap, noodles, meat, and last but not least, fish, especially dry fish.
As everyone knows, blood will tell:
So I started thinking about bringing the Philippine sari-sari shop to Europe, to serve my fellow Filipinos, but also to introduce Europeans to all the good products the Philippines has to offer.
